This matching activity invites participants to explore and prioritize their personal and professional aspirations using a deck of career-oriented cards. Through discussion, card exchanges, and reflective exercises, participants identify what truly matters to them, assess how well their current path aligns with their goals, and consider strategies to bridge any gaps.

Activity: Personal Goal Setting

The ABC-method states that a goal should be achievable, believable, and the person should be committed. This technique is useful for priority setting, it is simple and effective and makes you efficient.

Activity: Values List

It is a tool to uncover and clarify personal core values. By identifying what truly matters to the youngster, this method empowers them to make informed life choices, boost motivation, and establish a strong foundation for setting meaningful goals.

Self-Marketing

Activity: Me at my best

The “Me at my best” activity helps learners reflect on their personal strengths by identifying moments when they have felt most confident and successful. This reflection allows learners to recognize their core skills, values, and behaviors that contributed to these moments.

Activity: Personal Branding

Participants learn to promote themselves by reflecting on their strengths and how these could be valuable to others, to develop their personal branding.

Activity: Design your magazine

Participants will craft a small magazine or pamphlet (a zine) that represents who they are and what matters to them. It allows reflection on what is important to oneself at the moment.

Financial and material resources

Activity: Stop wishing, start achieving

Participants will write a wish list of things they want to achieve or improve. They’ll choose their top five items and turn them into SMART goals—Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. This helps them focus on what matters and create clear steps to reach their goals.

Activity: Case studies

This activity uses practical case studies to help adults explore budgeting and saving. In small groups, participants analyze realistic financial situations, identify challenges, and use simplified budget sheets to adjust expenses, manage credit, and plan payments.

Activity: Can you afford the life you dream of?

Participants will explore the relationship between income and lifestyle by creating and exchanging lifestyle visions, randomly selecting jobs through dice rolls, and attempting to build a realistic monthly budget. The focus is on reflection, discussion, and learning about financial priorities.
